Confidentiality

esdcrestConfidentiality Policy of the Council:

All Council members are required to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.  They are not to discuss the cases they have heard outside of the Council chambers.  In order to maintain this, it is suggested that members not even discuss the cases with each other outside of the chambers. The idea of a confidential Council is central to its success in future years; Students must be able to trust the Council.  Any member who breaks this trust will (and must be) removed from the Council immediately.  Cases involving breach of confidentiality will be decided by the Silent Observer and the Dean.  The concept of confidentiality is essential to the success of the Council.
