Links Index Color About html Images and Links Lists Tables	Mercedes "Michi" is my current competiton horse. She is a 1997 15.3hh Thoroughbred mare I purchased in the fall of 2009. Previously, she has competed through the Preliminary level of eventing throughout the United States. After a winter of getting to know each other, we are now competing at the Training level in USEA events. I plan to compete throughout Area V for the remainder of the spring season. I aim to move her up to Preliminary level in the summer/fall of 2010. We are aiming to make the team for the North American Junior Riders' Championship, which is the equivalent of the Junior Olympics for eventing, in the summer of 2011. I hope to ride her on the team again in 2012.(Pictured cross-country schooling at the Texas Rose Horse Park).	Gerty Two Shoes "Gerty" is now retired, but was my first competition horse. She is a 1997 15.1hh Thoroughbred mare I purchased in early 2007. We competed through Training level eventing with great results, and recieved numerous year-end awards, including: 4th place in NTEA category II points in 2007, 6th place in NTEA junior beginner novice 2008, 4th place NTEA category II points 2008, 8th place Area V junior training level in 2009, and NTEA Reserve Champion in junior training in 2009. Unfortuneately, Gerty suffered a career-ending injury in the summer of 2009 and had to be retired from competition. She is now living the good life as a therapy horse at Spirit of St. Louis Theraputic Riding Center in Tyler, Texas. (Pictured at her "retirement" home in Tyler).
