The Red Hot Chili Peppers were formed in 1983, in California.
The band members were originally the drummer, Jack Irons and the guitarist, Hillel
Slovak. Unfortunatly, Slovak died from an overdose in 1988. The current band members
are Anthony Kiedis (vocals), Michael Flea (bass), Chad Smith (drums), and Josh
Klinghoffer (guitar). They fall under the genre of rock and have made several hit albums
including Californiacation, By The Way, and their newest album, Stadium Arcadium. I started listening to The Red Hot Chili Peppers when I was about 8 years old and have loved them since. Their best music was produced when they had John Frusciante, their guitarist and singer. He hasn't been with the band for all of their years, mainly because of his many years spent in rehab, but during his times with the band he has brought wealth and fame to them. Personally, I think their best albums is By the Way, and I would have to say their best song is probably Snow (Hey Oh), from their album Stadium Arcadium. I went to their concert at The American Airlines Center in 2007, and it has so far been the best concert i've ever seen. |
